Remote Support Terms & Consent

Thank you for choosing Disk Fresh Remote Support.

These Remote Support Terms & Consent (“Agreement”) explain how our remote technical support service works and your rights and responsibilities during a remote support session.

By requesting or participating in a remote support session, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.


1. About Our Remote Support Service

Disk Fresh provides optional one-on-one remote technical support to assist customers with:

  • Installing or activating Disk Fresh
  • Diagnosing software issues
  • Optimizing Windows performance
  • Resolving Disk Fresh-related problems
  • General PC health and maintenance guidance
  • Troubleshooting common Windows issues

Remote support is available only after you request assistance.


2. Your Consent

Remote access is never initiated without your knowledge or permission.

By requesting remote support, you expressly authorize a Disk Fresh technician to temporarily access your computer for the sole purpose of diagnosing and resolving the issue you reported.

You may end the remote session at any time.


3. Before the Session

Before beginning a remote support session, you should:

  • Save and close any important work.
  • Back up important files.
  • Close confidential applications you do not want visible.
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  • Remain available during the session whenever possible.

4. What Our Technicians May Do

With your permission, our technicians may:

  • View your desktop.
  • Inspect Windows settings.
  • Review system information.
  • Run diagnostic tools.
  • Install or update Disk Fresh.
  • Modify Windows settings related to the reported issue.
  • Remove temporary files or unwanted software with your approval.
  • Restart your computer if necessary.

Technicians will explain significant changes whenever practical.


5. What We Will Not Do

Without your explicit permission, our technicians will not:

  • Access your personal documents, photos, videos, or emails.
  • Read private messages.
  • Open personal folders unrelated to the reported issue.
  • Copy or transfer your personal files.
  • Collect or store passwords.
  • Install unrelated software.
  • Access online banking or financial accounts.
  • Perform actions unrelated to resolving your support request.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your issue.
  • Follow technician instructions when requested.
  • Inform the technician before ending the session.
  • Maintain backups of important data.
  • Ensure you have permission to authorize support if using a work or shared computer.

7. Data Protection

During a remote session:

  • Disk Fresh accesses only information reasonably necessary to provide support.
  • We do not intentionally retain copies of your personal files.
  • Support notes may be recorded internally to document the issue and its resolution.
  • Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Session Recording

Disk Fresh does not record remote support sessions unless:

  • Recording is required for quality assurance or training purposes, and
  • You are informed beforehand and provide your consent.

If you decline recording, we will make reasonable efforts to provide support without recording whenever possible.


9. Service Limitations

While our technicians make every reasonable effort to resolve your issue, we cannot guarantee that:

  • Every technical problem can be fixed.
  • Hardware failures can be repaired remotely.
  • Third-party software conflicts can always be resolved.
  • Malware or viruses can always be completely removed.
  • Performance improvements will be identical across all computers.

Some issues may require in-person service, hardware replacement, or assistance from the device manufacturer.


10. Limitation of Liability

Disk Fresh exercises reasonable care during every remote support session.

However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Disk Fresh is not responsible for:

  • Existing malware infections.
  • Hardware failures.
  • Operating system corruption.
  • Third-party software issues.
  • Loss of data resulting from pre-existing system conditions.
  • Problems caused by inaccurate information provided by the customer.

Customers are responsible for maintaining current backups of important files before requesting remote assistance.


11. Ending a Session

You may end a remote support session at any time by:

  • Closing the remote support application.
  • Informing the technician that you wish to disconnect.
  • Shutting down your computer.

Disk Fresh may also end a session if:

  • The issue has been resolved.
  • Continued troubleshooting is not possible.
  • Abusive or inappropriate behavior occurs.
  • Fraudulent activity is suspected.

12. Privacy

Any personal information collected during a support session is handled in accordance with the Disk Fresh Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information or use information obtained during remote support for unrelated marketing purposes.


13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Remote Support Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be posted on our website with a revised Effective Date.
